Thinking about a wedding dress dupe instead of ordering the exact designer piece? Here's what a wedding dress dupe actually is, how it differs from a fully custom copy or a cheap knock off, and where to buy one online without overpaying.
A wedding dress dupe is a made-to-order recreation of a wedding dress style, built from scratch to look as close as possible to the original — without the original's price tag or the personal shopper fee that usually comes with a fully bespoke commission. You still choose your own colour and the closest available lace pattern, so the dress fits your wedding, not just the original photo.
In everyday use, "wedding dress dupe" and "wedding dress copy" mean the same thing: a dress made to resemble a specific style as closely as possible. We treat every order as a copy of the silhouette, neckline and lace placement you fell in love with, recreated by hand in your size and colour. Every piece is inspired by an existing design; it isn't sold as, and isn't affiliated with or endorsed by, the original designer.
"Knock off" can sound like a warning label, but for wedding dresses it usually just means made-to-order rather than made in-house by the original label. Ours are handmade individually per order, not mass-produced overseas in bulk — which is why you can still customize colour, lace and fit, and why production takes about 4.5 months rather than a few weeks.
If you're searching for where to buy designer dupes for your wedding dress, look for a maker who shows real pricing upfront, lets you pick your own colour and lace, and keeps you updated with photos before your dress ships. That's exactly how ordering works here: browse the 6 dupe styles above, customize your size and details, and see your full price and payment plan instantly.
A fully custom dress usually includes a personal shopper fee for sourcing and consultation. With our dupe collection, you choose from 6 existing styles we already know how to make well — so that fee is removed. You still choose your colour, closest-match lace, and size range.
Yes. We create our own interpretation of a style's silhouette, colour and lace using our own patterns and construction — we don't use any designer's branding, labels, or proprietary patterns. Our pieces are not sold as, and are not affiliated with or endorsed by, the original designer.
We use both terms to describe the same thing: a made-to-order recreation of a style you love, built from scratch in your size and colour. Neither term means mass-produced or lower quality here — each dress is handmade individually per order.
Right here — browse our 6 dupe styles above, choose your colour, closest-match lace and size range, and you'll see the full price and payment plan instantly before you order.
We use the closest available lace pattern to the original design shown. Small variations in lace texture or motif spacing are normal with made-to-order pieces — the lace photos in the builder show you exactly what to expect.
We'll email you to confirm your payment method, send you our measuring guide, and request a few full-body photos — these help us make sure your dress fits and flatters you perfectly. Once we have your measurements, photos and 20% deposit, we begin your design.
Direct bank transfer, which we recommend, or PayPal. PayPal payments include an added 20% transaction fee to cover processing costs, so bank transfer works out better value for you.
Payment is split into three parts: 20% once you've submitted your measurements, photos and confirmed your order; 50% once you approve the design and fabric selection; and a final 30% plus shipping once you approve your dress's final photos, just before it ships.
Completion takes approximately 4.5 months. Within the first month we confirm your design, measurements and fabrics; at month 3 you'll receive a photo update of your finished dress; and a final round of photos is sent for your approval just before shipping.
Yes. You'll review and approve photos at the month 3 update and again after any final fixes, right before your dress ships. Nothing ships without your sign-off.
Shipping is quoted specifically for your address after your final photos are approved, and is paid together with your final 30% payment.
Not to start — just pick the closest size from the dropdown (US 00–20 / EU 30–52), based on your normal clothing size, along with your height and shoe heel height. That's only used to get you an accurate price. Once you confirm your order, we'll email you a measuring guide so you can submit your exact measurements — your dress is made to those exact measurements, not to standard sizing.
